~ Service Agreement ~

Thank you so much for your interests in our cleaning service!
~ Services & Fees ~
Scheduled Cleaning (Weekly, Bi-Weekly Monthly or Occasional): $45/hr + GST (2 hours Minimum)
One time cleaning, Deep cleaning, Gift Cleaning, Move in/out, Pre/Post-Sale, and Post-Reno/Construction: $60/hr + GST
Distance Fee: $1.75/km from NCS office if located outside of Nelson City Limit
Note: No Air B & B and Vacation Rental Cleanings
~ Service Area ~
Within Nelson City Limit or just right outside of City Limit
~ Payment ~
All payments are required in advance. Any credits will be applied to the following month’s invoice and adjusted accordingly if you sign up for regular, scheduled cleaning. If advance payment is not feasible, please let us know so we can discuss alternative arrangements.
Payments can be made via cash, direct deposit, or e-transfer to 250-509-0862 or info@nelsoncleaning.ca. When making an e-transfer, please include your invoice number. If you properly cancel a scheduled cleaning, any credit will be applied to your next month's invoice.
Your satisfaction is our priority. We believe in clear, mindful, and caring communication on both ends—before, during, and after each cleaning—to ensure we meet your expectations and that you fully understand what we can and cannot do. If any areas are missed, please notify us within 24 hours of the cleaning, and we will return to address them, rather than simply issuing a refund. :)
~ Cancellation Policy ~
If you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, please do so at least 48 hours in advance. If you forget to cancel or reschedule, or if our staff cannot access your home, a minimum service fee will apply (equivalent to 2 hours of cleaning plus a distance fee if applicable). If you fall ill on the day of your scheduled cleaning, please notify us as soon as possible; no cancellation fee will be charged in that case.
~ Required Items ~
Functional vacuum cleaner with a clean filter (please maintain and repair as needed)
Functional wet/steam mop with a clean pad or Swiffer mop (please maintain and repair as needed)
Clean toilet brush for each toilet
~ Useful Items (not required but appreciated) ~
Set of cleaning cotton cloths, Paper towels, Swiffer dusters, Magic erasers, and Stainless steel cleaners
~ Please Do the Following ~
Provide a tour of your house/office before and after your first cleaning.
Clear all surfaces to be cleaned.
Maintain your vacuum cleaner, mop, and toilet brush.
Note that we do not move heavy furniture or electrical appliances.
Place furniture pads under all furniture; we are not responsible for marks caused by moving furniture.
Avoid walking on wet floors.
Supervise your children and pets.
Dispose of your garbage/recycling in the appropriate bins.
Refrain from smoking, vaping, or burning incense while we clean (if your house/office has a strong cigarette smell, we may decline service).
Do not use bleach or chlorine while we clean.
Ensure your driveway is plowed before we arrive, if applicable.
~ NCS Staff Will Not Clean/Pick Up the Following Items ~
Deep carpet cleaning, plastic mini blinds, outside windows, asbestos, lead, mold, animal urine/feces, bed bugs, rodent/animal droppings, dead mice/rats, cat litter, any toxic substances, drugs, needles, blood, vomit, fecal matter outside the toilet, used baby diapers, used adult diapers, used feminine products, used intimate products, and used masks. (However, after rodent problems are addressed and all droppings and nests are cleaned out, we will be happy to clean your house.)
If your space has a strong musty smell, bleach, chemicals, paint, cigarette smoke, or signs of a rodent infestation, we may decline service.
~ Garbage/Recycling ~
NCS does not empty your garbage bins or remove/transfer your garbage and recycling from the cleaning site.
